Eleven-year-old Dominik is ecstatic when Czech team defeats Canada at the tournament of the century in Nagano and heads to the finals. Even though he is a bit of an outsider, he decides to buy a hockey stick and play hockey with his friends as much as possible. He puts together a team and plans to play his own big game against the team from the next village. He not only wants to win the game, but also the heart of his classmate Katka.
