Love has many forms and eventually finds everyone, says the winter romantic comedy And a Happy New Year, whose story begins just before Christmas and ends on New Year Eve. The film takes place in the beautiful snowy High Tatras, where a group of friends, their loved ones and also complete strangers meet in one place. Over the course of a few days of holiday, some of them will face mainly embarrassment, others will face life challenges or changes, some face their exes and others their future loves. However, there are many romantic and comical situations and one big surprise for everyone. |

The native New Yorker Frank gains an ancient family residence thanks to his noble ancestors - the Kostka Castle. After more than forty years he is preparing to return to the Czech Republic with his daughter Marie and excentric wife Vivien. The new aristocrats are unaware of the local circumstances and Czech reality, which they know only from ancient stories of relatives. Upon arrival, the family discovers that the castle is in a state of gradual disintegration, aside from all social events. The only permanent residents of Kostka are the old-fashioned castellan Josef, the cheerful housekeeper Mrs. Tichá and the hypochondriac handyman Mr. Krása. While the Kostka staff slowly awakens from the tiring sleep of the post-revolutionary 1990s, the Kostka family faces a difficult choice whether to sell the castle and return to America or try to save it. |

Once upon a time, there were three sisters. Two older nasty and ugly, youngest Aninka, nice and pretty. They made her a maid and chased her from work to work. Once Aninka found a bird feather. She stroked it, kissed it, and Prince Vítek appeared in front of her, who was turned into bird by insulted princess - the witch – when he refused to marry her. Vítek and Aninka fall in love. However sisters found out that she is seeing someone, broke the feather and Vitek disappeared. Aninka escapes from home to the world to find him. |
